Every time I try to fill this out, it sounds like a personal ad, which I don’t want. So I apologize that this is a bit sparse; I promise one of these days I’ll improve on it. I’m a 23 year old living in NJ and working in the IT field. My background is mostly in technology, but I’m sort of a jack of all trades with an eclectic set of interests and hobbies from a wide range of disciplines. Mostly this blog covers my take on technology and politics, since they produce the freshest material on a day-to-day basis, but you’ll also see the offbeat and weird, stuff that I think is funny or cool, and discussions of other interest areas (Which could be anything, really).
My biggest hope would be to carve out a little niche for myself, find a small audience that I can share my thoughts with and get feedback from - that’s what I enjoy about blogging. When I post something here, it’s because I’d be interested in discussing it - not as a monologue but as part of a discussion. So I’m not going to be breaking any news here, you won’t find the kind of in depth analysis a more focused blog might have. What you will find are my honest thoughts and opinions; whether you stay with me as a reader will be dependent on how engaging you find them.
On the perspective you’ll find here: philosophically and ideologically, I’m a libertarian socialist, firmly in the “Bush sucks” camp. As far as technology goes, I’m most interested in its societal and cultural impacts rather than the nitty gritty of how it works; although being a geek, I’m also into it just because I think it’s cool. I’m an atheist. I love science and investigating the world and all it’s mysteries, and probing the deeper questions of our existence. I’m an enthusiastic media consumer, I have tremendous respect for the talent that it takes to create something worthwhile, whatever the medium. Mostly I love anything that’s interesting, and I find almost everything interesting.
