Karl Rove Won’t Be Charged in CIA Leak Case

Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald has told White House aide Karl Rove that he does not expect to seek charges against him in connection with the CIA leak case, Rove’s lawyer said today.

Depressing though not surprising; Rove is like a greased pig and the Intelligence Identities Protection Act is worded pretty narrowly. Which means that once again, the Administration avoids accountability.

What I find interesting is the right wing’s reaction to the news. It’s something like “Na na na na!” followed by blowing a rasberry, only less mature. The same people that went apeshit in the Clinton years are now jumping gleefully with partisan zeal that Rove apparently got away with treason.
