New Jersey May Legalize Medical Marijuana:
New Jersey would become the 12th state to legalize marijuana for people with debilitating medical conditions under a bill slated to be discussed next month by state lawmakers.
Am I the only one that finds the whole “Medical Marijuana” debate to be stupid? The whole idea that we need to have a debate to create an exception for people in dehabilitating pain is absurd on the face of it. Where’s the downside to letting them get high if they think it’ll help?
One of these states needs to have the guts to just legalize marijuana, period. That’s the meta-issue here, the thing that this debate is just a cover for. And it’s really gotten to be time that some state government just exercises common sense and gets the ball rolling.
